Purefecta Process
Purefecta's exclusive seven-stage protection process offers unparalleled water quality any time you need it. The water’s so good that Purefecta has been certified as a microbiological purifier.
Stage 1: A five-micron sediment prefilter reduces "larger" particles and sediment as small as 1/16th the diameter of a human hair, serving as an initial protection stage.
Stage 2: The reverse osmosis (RO) membrane allows water molecules to pass but traps heavy metals and compounds including nitrates and cysts, which are flushed to drain.
Stage 3: A medical grade virus filter eliminates 99.99% of any viruses that may be present, reducing them to insignificant levels.
Stage 4: A protective, 3-gallon (11.4 litre) storage tank collects water that has been processed and stores it until use. The tank has a unique water turnover feature to keep the drinking water fresh.
Stage 5: Upon demand, the water passes from the storage tank through a carbon block postfilter that removes any remaining tastes, odors and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Stage 6: A medical grade bacteria filter eliminates 99.99999% of any bacteria that may be present, reducing it to an insignificant level.
Stage 7: A certified, lead-free drinking water faucet delivers clean, clear biopure water.
