The Kinetico Control Valve

A key component of Kinetico systems, the control valve, is a triumph of design and engineering. Using the energy of moving water as its power source the simple non-electric design allows installation in the most critical applications, controlling salt usage and backwashing through twin-tank systems to maintain a continuous supply of treated water.

Water Softeners

Water softeners remove the calcium and magnesium ions, which cause hardness in water, through an ion exchange process. Water softening prevents the build up of scale in plant and machinery and improves the performance of detergents, soaps and wetting agents.

Cold Water Softeners

Deionisers

Deionisation is the process of purifying water through the removal of ionised or dissolved salts, such as calcium, sodium, chloride, or sulphate. This can be achieved by passing the water over beds of cation and anion resins. Cation impurities (calcium, sodium, etc) coming into contact with the resin are replaced in the water by hydrogen (H+) ions, and anion impurities (chloride, sulphate etc) with hydroxyl (HO-) ions which then combine to form water, leaving the impurities attached to the resin.

Kinetico offer a range of Swift automatic deioniser systems, or as an alternative, a range of exchangeable Hypure cylinders.

Swift Automatic Deioniser

• Engineered to produce high purity deionised water.
• Duplex Modular Design – continuous treated water to service
• Counter current regeneration – no regeneration down time
• High Purity Water – typically better than 6µs
• Optional SARP Polishing Stage - <0.5µs

Typical Applications: Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, Cosmetics and Perfumery, Metal finishing

Hypure Exchange Cylinder

Ideal for small to large volume users either connected to a raw water supply or to further purify deionised water from a pre-treatment system at point of use.

Typical Applications: Laboratories, Battery top-up, Ultrasonic cleaners

Reverse Osmosis Systems

When water volumes are separated by a semi-permeable membrane and pressure is applied to one side, reverse osmosis takes place. Water flows from the pressurised to the un-pressurised side, leaving behind 90-98% of its impurities.

Kinetico RO systems feature a modular design ranging from small generic systems with basic controls to fully plc controlled units capable of high output, most feature automatic permeate flush to clean the membranes.
