We recommend booking one of our routine maintenance visits if your water softener is not working properly. Most water softener issues can usually be resolved by one of our service engineers as part of the maintenance programme. If it does need repairing, a written quotation will be provided before anything is done. Call our customer support team on 0808 1641 796 or click to find out more.
Our policy is to keep you updated as much as possible before each service appointment. On booking a water softener service appointment you will receive confirmation via email and text. We will also send you a reminder the day before the appointment, and a courtesy call from your Kinetico service engineer on the actual day.
The main factors determining how much salt a water softener uses are:
- The number of people living in the property
- How much water each person uses on a daily basis
- The hardness level of your mains water supply
- The type of water softener you own
Typically, we find most Kinetico water softener customers use around one 4kg of block salt per person, per month.
