We recommend routine maintenance and sanitisation of your Kinetico K5 Pure water filter to ensure it continues to operate at optimum performance.
The lifespan of each filter cartridge will vary depending on household water usage. For an average family of four, the typical lifespan is around 9–12 months. The pre-filter cartridge, taste & odour cartridge, and any auxiliary cartridges should be replaced annually, or sooner if the filter timer indicates.
Before carrying out any maintenance, ensure your hands are clean. For complete peace of mind, we suggest having a Kinetico service engineer perform a professional filter change and sanitisation.
If replacing the filters yourself, please follow the instructions in the user manual. Always wash your hands before handling new water filters and avoid touching the internal parts. After installation, flush the system by running a full tank of water through the tap, and carefully check for any leaks.
